In the interview (with NY Times), Rocky vividly describes the night that Yams died. Rocky was hanging out with A$AP Lou at the Williamsburg apartment Lou shared with Yams.
Around 3am, Lou told Rocky something was wrong. They found vomit on Yams' bed, and were unable to wake him up. "I just look at his face. I look at [A$AP] Lou. You could just tell. We knew," Rocky said. "I was scared. I was wilding on everybody, like, 'Who let him do drugs?,' even though you can't blame nobody."
I am proud of Rocky for bringing drug awareness to the situation and the humility of the A$AP Mob for keeping their silence and allowing their friend to rest in peace. Our prayers go out to the entire crew and their families.
