Kendrick Lamar is now making a footprint in fashion. He is the new brand ambassador for a Reebok campaign geared to keep kids off the street through positive incitement. Along with scoring his own tennis shoe, Kendrick Lamar hopes to continue to inspire he said in a press release: “Reebok has a history of helping kids in the community realize their potential is limitless. I saw what the brand was doing, and I wanted to be a part of it and make it even stronger. It’s as simple as that. Kids that listen to my music are looking for inspiration. It’s important that I continue that message in anything I represent.” The "I am" campaign, Reebok Presents Kendrick Lamar, is introduced through this short film, it features Kendrick Lamar rapping and visiting places in Compton that were influential to him growing up including his high school, Centennial High. The video is directed by Anthony Mandler. It premieres the Reebok Ventilator OG shoe for the global campaign of 25th Anniversary of Reebok’s iconic Ventilator shoe.
