One place, under artistry...... Last night was the 2015 MTV VMA's and it was definitely one for the books. Besides the utterly horrible hosting styles of Miley Cyrus and the fake-but-possibly-not-so-fake verbal altercation between Miley and Nicki Minaj, one of the biggest moments from the night was Kanye West's Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award acceptance speech.

Who?! Remember that rapper from the 2000's? The one who gave out his number to the world? The one who's name was.......was.....oh that's right, Mike Jones! Well since his glory days, the Texas rapper has apparently been making his money doing......jingles?? Recently, a video surfaced on YouTube showcasing the rapper working on a verse (jingle, song, we really don't know) for the phone-based app LockedOut. The app is promoted to be an "Uber for locksmiths" and recruited Mike Jones for the company's music. Whether this is a day job or the side job, we hope things haven't gotten too bad for the rapper. It's official! The Game announced today on his Instagram account that the long-awaited sequel to his 2005 debut The Documentary, will be released within the next month! In addition to that, he also released the album artwork. The album will be called [respectfully] The Documentary 2 and will be released on September 25th, 2015. 

Everyone is going his waaaaaaaaaaay (too corny?) Today, Paterson, New Jersey native Fetty Wap is blessing his hometown with a free concert for all city high school students. Although Paterson is no stranger to large events happening in their town, authorities are preparing themselves (and the city) just in case....... 

Throwback Thursday for real! Seattle duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis took all old school hip hop heads back to a time when hip hop (well...music in general) was fun with their newest single "Downtown". The song, which took over a year to record, features hip hop pioneers Grandmaster Caz, Kool Moe Dee, and Melle Mel. It is also the first official single to their upcoming album. The video was released a couple of hours ago and has a very 1980's-origin-of-hip-hop feel to it. These days, it's rare to see people in hip hop, actually pay homage to the ones that started it all. Tyga.......too soon, bruh. It's no secret that there has been something going on between 25 year-old Cali rapper Tyga and his [now] 18 year-old "girlfriend" Kylie Jenner. The two were rumored to have been dating for some time now, despite the fact that Kylie was underage, making that union VERY much so illegal. But recently, Kylie's 18th birthday passed (August 10th), the day we all know Tyga was waiting for...........
